We are now walking into areas with small Alberques. We have several suggestions. Look for hotels! We are using three different guide books that just don't give enough credence to hotel deals for pilgrims. Here is an example. In El Pito right on the Camino is Hotel Casona Lelgas. For two people it is 45€ including free supers and breakfasts. Consider a delicious evening meal is 12€ and breakfast is 2.5€; then your private room with sheats, shower, that stays on, is only 8€ each!!!

We started out early to make sure we covered the 26k to El Pito. We made arrangements at Hotel Arturo for a double at 30 euros and a single at 20 including breakfast. There is no albergue here nor close to here so we wanted to make sure we had a place to stay. There seem to always be more places in towns to stay in than guide books suggest. There is no store in El Pito. You have to walk to a restaurant or check the nearest hotel, which is for us hotel Casona Lelgas. The owners are pilgrims themselves so know we need good home cooked food.

Clean blue sky's were ours for the day. Several times we did the up steep and immediately down steep routine. We then entered several paths through forests some muddy and some so narrow with thorn bushes that we had problems getting through. The forests were green and very serene we finally arrived at this very small but beautiful hamlet called El Pito.
